You gotta love mushrooms. They are delicious and versatile…and cheap!
If you’re in a hurry or don’t know what to cook for a special dinner, just heat a pan and throw in some ‘rooms. The most important thing though, is to choose the seasoning wisely according to what you are serving them with.
For example, butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, cherry tomatoes and lots of coriander go wonderfully with pasta! You can even serve them on chunky, toasted slices of bread as appetizers.
Or, as a sort of chunky gravy for Roast Beef, cut your mushrooms into small(ish) pieces and add olive oil, paprika, chopped bell peppers, mashed garlic, a bit of parsley, salt, a hint of nutmeg and there you go. Fragrant, spicy, and different!
